Mick Jagger is now in recovery after his heart valve replacement procedure was successfully completed in New York, according to Billboard.
Jagger is in great health and doctors are now monitoring him for any complications that could arise from the procedure.
The Rolling Stones announced last week that they were postponing their North American No Filter Tour due to the frontman's health issues. It was later revealed that Jagger needed to undergo a heart valve replacement procedure. The new tour dates are to be announced, but the tour is expected to begin in July.
Jagger is resting after the transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Since doctors were able to access Jagger's heart valve through his femoral artery, Jagger did not undergo major surgery.
Jagger must rest for four to five days, but should be up and moving shortly after that. The tour postponement gives Jagger plenty of time to recuperate after the procedure.
