A biopic detailing the relationship of former Beatle John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono will make its way to the big screen via Universal Pictures.
The screenplay, written by Anthony McCarten, will be directed by Jean-Marc Vallée. Both have been nominated for Oscars. Yoko Ono has been named as one of the producers of the movie.
McCarten most recently worked on the screenplay "Bohemian Rhapsody," a biopic chronicling the journeys of Queen, set to release on Nov. 2.
Vallée's works include "Big Little Lies" and "Sharp Objects."
No further details, such as a title or release date, have been provided.
