Rumor had it Adele was prepping a Las Vegas residency for next year, and now the news has been confirmed: the 30 singer will be performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace next year.
Adele's residency will last from January 21 until April 16. She will perform 24 shows total on Fridays and Saturdays only, with a brief intermission the weekend of February 18-19 due to a Van Morrison concert at the venue. The Colosseum, which has an official capacity of 4,100, provides a relatively intimate environment for Adele’s famously chatty concerts.
The Las Vegas announcement comes while Adele is still riding off the success of her most recent studio album. 30 achieved the impossible when, three days after its release, it became this year’s top-selling album in the United States: rapidly besting 11 months of sales of Taylor Swift’s evermore.
Aside from two dates in London’s Hyde Park next summer and her recent One Night Only CBS special, the Caesars Palace shows are the only concert dates Adele has announced in support of 30 thus far.
