The Michael Jackson estate and Columbia Live Stage confirmed on Wednesday that the musical inspired by the life of Michael Jackson will be entitled Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.
The musical, which was announced last summer, will premiere in Chicago at the James M. Nederlander Theatre. The production will run from Oct. 29 to Dec. 1 before moving to Broadway in 2020.
Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough will largely focus on Jackson's achievements throughout his 20s and 30s, but will hit all of his career milestones. The musical, which will feature hits from Jackson’s career, will be directed and choreographed by Tony-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon. The musical on the icon will also serve as a platform for the debut of a new book from Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage.
