This November, Prince's 1999 is being reissued in a massive box set that will contain five CDs and a DVD (or 10 LPs and a DVD) with 35 previously unreleased tracks and a full concert film.
The set will feature a remastered version of 1999, all of the music Prince put out in 1982, as well as tracks he recorded between Nov. 1981 and Jan. 1983. Two concerts, one audio and another on DVD, will also be included. The live album features a late-night concert Prince performed in Detroit on Nov. 30, 1982, while the concert film features footage from a gig at the Houston Summit on Dec. 29, 1982.
Aside from the massive music collection, there will be an accompanying booklet with liner notes, rare photos, and several of Prince’s hand-written lyrics.
Smaller alternate versions of the reissue will also be available, including a two-CD (or four-LP) deluxe edition and a single-CD (or two-LP) basic edition. The 1999 Super Deluxe Edition will be out Nov. 29.
