It's time to pour some Def Leppard liquor in your cup! The rock band behind 1987's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" has launched a new signature gin that comes in two different versions.
Released in celebration of the band's 45th anniversary, the two spirits take their names from songs off Def Leppard's 1987 album Hysteria. The first is "Animal" London Dry Gin, and the second is "Rocket" Premium Distilled Gin.
"Animal" is a "classic London Dry Gin with a high intensity of flavors," according to a press release. "The grain-based distillate is heavy with juniper, lemon, and botanicals. It is spicy, big, and bold and has all the classic gin characters."
The "Rocket" gin carries "juniper and herbaceous tones" with "additional flavors of lavender and lemon." The drink also takes inspiration from the lavender labyrinths at Sheffield Manor Lodge – in Def Leppard’s hometown of Sheffield, England.
The gin launch isn't the only new Def Leppard gift the band has released in light of their 45th anniversary. Earlier this month, Def Leppard revealed a Leppard-themed puzzle game for phones. It all comes after the release of their new album Diamond Star Halos, which also dropped earlier this month.
Def Leppard are about to embark on their summer stadium tour with Mötley Crüe, Poison, and Joan Jett. It starts June 16 in Atlanta, Georgia and will conclude in September in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tickets are available here.
