Smokey Robinson, Alanis Morissette, and St. Vincent are a few of the artists working with Audible to release new projects as part of the audio company's "Words & Music" musical storytelling initiative.
In their respective projects, Robinson will examine his 70-year career through storytelling and performance, while Morissette will unpack “a lifetime of conscious self-discovery in a powerful and thoughtful rumination on her journey as an artist, celebrity and human being.” St. Vincent (real name Annie Clark) will launch the collaboration later this year with St. Vincent: Words and Music, which will see Clark reflecting on her journey of self-discovery through her lyrics.
The projects come as a result of a deal between Audible and production company Gunpowder & Sky. Currently, the projects are being recorded in at-home studios and more details on the upcoming "Words & Music" projects are to come in the next few months.
