Dua Lipa performed a new cover of Arlo Parks' song "Eugene," an early single from Parks' acclaimed debut LP Collapsed in Sunbeams.
A video of the performance was uploaded to BBC Radio 1's YouTube channel on Monday, April 19. Lipa performed her slowed down version of the song in the BBC Live Lounge. She had help from a trio of backing singers and a single guitarist.
Arlo Parks recorded herself listening to the cover, calling it "a special moment." She shared the video and her positive reaction on Twitter.
IM ABSOLUTELY FLOORED! Dua, I literally felt like I was levitating listening to you covering Eugene on the @BBCR1 live lounge 😟 what a special moment for a quiet, intensely personal tune that was written in a living room!! @DUALIPA you are a star - I’m grinning so big rn x pic.twitter.com/OREknK3waM
