Paul McCartney has announced his next release from his Archive Collection series, the reissue of 1997’s Flaming Pie due out July 31. The release will double as a celebration of his 78th birthday.
The Flaming Pie reissue will feature the remastered album, previously unreleased material, and bonus tracks. It will be available as the Collector’s Edition, Deluxe Edition, 3LP, 2LP, 2CD, and digitally.
The Collector’s Edition, which is limited to 3,000 numbered copies, will be contained in a cloth-wrapped collector’s box and will include: five CDs, four LPs, and two DVDs; a book containing previously unpublished images by Linda McCartney, expanded album artwork, and the story behind the album; a marbled art print portfolio of Linda McCartney prints; “The Ballad of the Skeletons,” his Allen Ginsberg collaboration; and more. The Deluxe Edition will contain most of the Collector’s Edition's offering, but will only include five CDs and two DVDs.
