'Honestly, Nevermind' Becomes Drake's 11th No. 1 Album
Drizzy has done it again. The singer and rapper has landed his 11th #1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart with his latest record, Honestly, Nevermind.
Honestly, Nevermind earned 204,000 equivalent album units in its first week, with 94% of that coming from streaming. The achievement makes Drake the fifth artist to release more than 10 #1 Billboard 200 albums. The four other artists to have achieved the feat are the Beatles (with 19 #1s), Jay-Z (14), Bruce Springsteen, and Barbra Streisand (each with 11).
Drake essentially surprise-dropped Honestly, Nevermind on June 17, announcing just hours before that he would be releasing the album. The LP debuted with the fourth-largest streaming week for any album in 2022, following Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti, Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, and Future’s I Never Liked You.
Surprisingly, Honestly, Nevermind has performed very well despite only featuring one other artist: 21 Savage in the closing song "Jimmy Cooks." Unsurprisingly though, that song is the album's most streamed track, according to Billboard.
Following the release of his new record, Drake shared a music video for “Falling Back.” In other recent news, Drake had four nominations at yesterday's (June 26) BET Awards.
