Singer/songwriter Maggie Rogers has released the second single from her sophomore album Surrender. Titled "Want Want," the rockin' track also comes with a brand new music video.
The visual is directed by Warren Fu and sees Rogers singing karaoke all by her lonesome while wearing a platinum blonde wig. Kid Harpoon and Del Water Gap co-produced “Want Want” with Rogers. She worked on the song at 3 locations: Electric Lady Studios in New York, Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios near Bath, England, and Sid’s Palace in Scarborough, Maine.
Like the rest of the songs off her upcoming album, Rogers wrote "Want Want" while in quarantine with Del Water Gap in Maine, eventually completing the tune with Kid Harpoon in New York and Bath. Rogers announced her forthcoming album back in March, and it is set to be the follow-up to her debut 2019 record Heard It in a Past Life.
Surrender will be released July 29 via Capitol. You can pre-order it here.
