Neil Young Announces One-Night-Only Screening for Documentary ‘Mountaintop’

For one-night-only, Neil Young's new documentary that chronicles the making of his newest album Colorado will be screening in select movie theaters nationwide on Oct.22.

Directed by Bernard Shakey, Mountaintop gives a look into the whole album-making process, which took place high up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Mountaintop is a raw and extremely unfiltered look at the process of Neil Young with Crazy Horse making their first album in seven years,” the film’s synopsis states. “Witness the laughter, tensions, crusty attitudes and love of a rock & roll band that’s been together for 50 years as they share their passion, first and foremost… for the music.”

After the Oct. 22 screening, there will be a screening in Europe and South America on Nov. 18. Check out the film’s site for a list of participating theaters.

Colorado is due out Oct. 25, three days after the film's screening.
