A new exhibit honoring 2019 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees Brooks & Dunn is set to open Aug. 9 at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Titled Brooks & Dunn: Kings of Neon, the exhibit will tell the story of aspiring solo artists Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn joining forces to become the best-selling country duo of all time. Brooks & Dunn: Kings of Neon will display several of the duo's awards, custom guitars, stage wear, boots, racing suits, as well as early drafts of songs like their 2003 hit, “Red Dirt Road.”
The exhibit will be open through July 19, 2020. Special museum programs, including an in-depth conversation featuring the duo and their longtime manager, Clarence Spalding, are scheduled throughout the exhibit's run. The conversation with the duo and Spalding, “Proud of the House We Built,” will feature personal memories and stories and is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 24 at 2pm. Tickets for this special event will be available beginning at 10am CT on Friday, July 19.
