Kacey Musgraves, Brooks & Dunn, & Keith Whitley Exhibits to Open at Country Music Hall of Fame

The Country Music Hall of Fame, which is located in downtown Nashville, announced that they will be honoring recent Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves, hit duo Brooks & Dunn, country and bluegrass legend Keith Whitley, and iconic songwriting couple Boudleaux and Felice Bryant with new exhibits.

On May 3, the Keith Whitley exhibit will be unveiled. Opening just six days before the 30th anniversary of his death at 33 years old, the exhibit will follow Whitley's career from early bluegrass artist to one of the most successful traditional singers in country music.

The exhibit tracing Musgraves' musical journey from her small town East Texas roots to her multiple Grammy-winning career as a young artist pushing country music's boundaries will open on July 3.

Aug. 9 will mark the opening of the exhibit celebrating multi-award-winning duo Brooks & Dunn. The exhibit will showcase their early songwriting efforts, solo careers, as well as their unique partnership that has made them one of the most popular country music acts of their time.

Songwriting duo Felice and Boudleaux Bryant will be featured in an exhibit set to open on Oct. 4. Since the 1940s, the duo has written more than 800 songs for over 500 artists. The exhibit will take a look at their careers that have earned them membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame and the multiple-genre Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Other exhibits at the museum include Outlaws & Armadillos: Country’s Roaring ’70s, which runs through Feb. 14, 2021 and explores the link between Austin, TX, and Nashville, and American Currents: The Music of 2018, which opens Friday, March 8.

Special programs related to these exhibits and the names of the newest Country Music Hall of Fame inductees are to be announced in the coming months.
