Grammy Museum to Launch Dolly Parton Costume Exhibit

On Feb. 5, the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles will publicly launch “Diamond in a Rhinestone World: The Costumes of Dolly Parton” to commemorate Parton's dazzling fashion from throughout her career. The exhibit, which will run through March 17, will feature iconic outfits worn on album covers, in music videos, during live performances, and other pieces from her personal collection.

Parton will open the exhibit on Feb. 4 at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater where she will also be discussing the history of some of her favorite pieces in the collection.

"I probably have thousands of dresses from over the years," said Parton. "I had a hard time letting go of some of my favorites, but I’m excited for them to be included in this exhibit. I can't wait to see them on display at the GRAMMY Museum!"

Her appearance at the exhibit comes just a few days before the Feb. 8 gala where she will be honored as the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year.
