Mariah Carey is delivering even more holiday cheer this year as Apple TV+ has confirmed that Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special will hit the streaming service on Friday, Dec. 4.
The holiday special, which will feature musical performances with animation and a bunch of special guests, will find Carey joining Santa to help "save the day" after a crisis arises in the North Pole. Confirmed guests include Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Misty Copeland, Mykal-Michelle Harris, and Carey’s twins Moroccan and Monroe.
The special will also come with a soundtrack that will launch exclusively on Apple Music on the premiere date before becoming available on all other platforms on Dec. 11. The soundtrack will compile brand new versions of some of the biggest holiday hits, including “Sleigh Ride” and "Oh Santa!" featuring Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. Following the premiere, an exclusive interview between Zane Lowe and Carey will be released on Apple Music on Dec. 7.
Carey, Ian Stewart, Raj Kapoor, and Ashley Edens executive produced the special for production company Done + Dusted, and Hamish Hamilton directed alongside Roman Coppola.
