Coldplay Announce European Tour Dates for 2023

After embarking on their eco-friendly Music of the Spheres world tour across the United States, parts of Europe - and soon enough - in South America, Coldplay has announced a greater focus on European locations for their 2023 tour dates.

Next year, the band will perform in Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. The European leg of the tour will start in May and end in July. Opening acts have yet to be announced.

While Coldplay will mostly be playing in Europe for 2023, it's not the only continent they will visit. Two April 2022 shows at LA's Sofi Stadium ended up being postponed by the band until 2023. The new dates in the U.S. have yet to be announced.

Coldplay famously declined to tour in support of their album Everyday Life for environmental reasons. Therefore, the band has set out to make their Music of the Spheres World Tour far more sustainable. Concerts have been powered entirely by renewable energy, including solar panels and wind turbines at every venue to help power the shows. Coldplay has implemented several other eco-friendly actions for their concerts, including one tree planted for every ticket sold, kinetic stadium floors, low-carbon transport to venues, and free plastic-less water stations, just to name a few.

Tickets for Coldplay's world tour can be found on their official website.
