Last year, we reported Run the Jewels rapper Killer Mike was set to make an appearance in the last season of the crime drama show Ozark. Now, Netflix has revealed a new clip of the artist in action.
The clip comes ahead of the new Ozark season, which will be released tomorrow (April 29) on Netflix. In the clip, Killer Mike discusses Nas’ “N.Y. State of Mind” with the character Ruth Langmore (played by Julia Garner) in a diner. They compare interpretations of the song and discuss Nas' personal life. Killer Mike plays himself in the scene.
It isn't the first time Killer Mike has acted for a Netflix show. Fans can see him in his 2019 documentary series Trigger Warning with Killer Mike. The educational series sees Mike using his fame to serve as an activist, hoping to bring to light and confront important social issues - especially those that impact the Black community.
In other Run the Jewels news, the duo released their latest album, RTJ4, in 2020. It included the song "Never Look Back," which spawned a Night of the Living Dead-inspired music video.
