Danny Elfman is reprising his live-to-film performances of The Nightmare Before Christmas. While he's returning as Jack Skellington, he’s also tapped Phoebe Bridgers to sing the part of the beloved soft-voiced rag doll, Sally.
The 2022 shows will take place on December 9 and 10 at London’s OVO Arena Wembley. They follow Elfman's 2021 performance of The Nightmare Before Christmas with Billie Eilish singing as Sally. Besides Elfman and Bridgers, Ken Page will reprise his role as Oogie Boogie. John Mauceri will conduct the BBC Concert Orchestra, and will be joined by Greg Proops, Randy Crenshaw, Fletcher Sheridan, and violinist Sandy Cameron.
In other Danny Elfman news, the artist released the new LP Bigger. Messier. back in August. It's a collection of remixes based on his 2021 solo album Big Mess.
As for Phoebe Bridgers, the singer recently joined the cast of the upcoming A24 horror film I Saw the TV Glow. She also dropped the single “Sidelines” this year and performed alongside Christian Lee Hutson, Clairo, and the Killers. Her last project was the Copycat Killer EP in 2020.
