Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande Duet 'Respect' on 'The Voice'

Season 21 of The Voice could not get any better. With Ariana Grande's debut Monday night (September 20), the coaches have a new sense of chemistry. That chemistry fizzled into a dynamite performance of Otis Redding's "Respect," which was made popular by Aretha Franklin in 1967.

The four coaches took to the stage for a surprise performance together. Blake Shelton and John Legend kicked things off with a rendition of Sam & Dave's 1966 classic “Hold On, I’m Coming.”

Then it was the ladies' turn. Ariana and friendly rival Kelly Clarkson teamed up for a knockout duet on the Aretha song. Clarkson showed off her riffing abilities, and wearing a pink cowboy hat, Grande went sky high with some silky smooth vocal bits.

While it was Ariana's first time tackling the iconic 60s' song, Kelly's been a veteran since the early days of her career. The singer first debuted her rendition of the song during American Idol auditions, then performed it again during her last act on the show. Surprisingly, Clarkson hasn't done a Kellyoke of the song yet on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

You can watch The Voice on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8pm Eastern and Pacific times on NBC.
