The Doobie Brothers are keeping us runnin'! In addition to the several U.S. dates they will play during their ongoing 50th anniversary tour, today (February 27) the band has announced 35 new dates added to the itinerary.
Running from May through October, the tour extension includes shows in Kansas City, Des Moines, Louisville, Charleston, Atlantic City, and more. Tickets for new tour dates go on sale Friday (March 3) at 10am local time (with the exception of the shows in Sparks, NV; New Brunswick, NJ; Morristown, NJ; Washington, DC; and Uncasville, CT, which will go on sale beginning March 10 at 10am local time.)
“We are thrilled to be back on the road in 2023 playing some cities we haven’t gotten to yet on this tour,” said guitarist Johnston in a statement. Before playing their U.S. dates, the group is slated to perform shows in Australia, Japan, and Singapore. You can see all tour dates and find tickets here.
In other Doobie Brothers news, the veteran rock band released their 15th album, LIBERTÉ, in 2021. It was produced and co-written by John Shanks (Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus), and contained twelve brand new tracks from the group.
