Anyone looking for a 90s hip-hop throwback is in for a real treat. Hip-hop legends Wu-Tang Clan and Nas are launching their joint NY State of Mind Tour this fall, taking the vibes of the Empire State with them as they travel across North America.
The co-headlining tour will begin August 30 in St. Louis and includes 24 stops at amphitheaters across the U.S., with one additional date in Toronto. The tour will conclude on October 4 with a performance at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. Ironically enough, there are no dates in New York. The closest stop will be Camden, NJ.
Tickets for the NY State of Mind Tour go on sale Tuesday, April 26 at 10am local time, with various pre-sales currently taking place. More ticket information can be found here.
In recent Nas and Wu-Tang news, the former artist recently performed a career-spanning retrospective at the Grammys to mark the 20th anniversary of his 2002 album, God’s Son. Nas surprise dropped his latest album, Magic, with Hit Boy last year. Additionally, he released the song "Big Nas" as part of a MasterClass on "Hip-Hop Storytelling."
As for Wu-Tang Clan, the rap collective's 1993 debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) was recently inducted into the National Recording Registry.
