A new documentary and accompanying live album chronicling Jimi Hendrix’s visit to Maui, Hawaii in 1970 are set to be released on Nov. 20.
The documentary, which is entitled Music, Money, Madness ... Jimi Hendrix In Maui, features archival footage and new interviews, and focuses on the Jimi Hendrix Experience’s role in the ill-fated film Rainbow Bridge that was produced by their controversial manager Michael Jeffery.
The live album, Live In Maui, collects the two afternoon performances that were captured on July 30, 1970 for the movie.
In addition to the documentary and live album, new merch is also being released. You can preorder the 2CD+Blu-Ray, 3LP+Blu-Ray, or merch here.
