Hear John Williams’ Latest ‘Star Wars’ Score for Disney's New ‘Galaxy’s Edge’ Themed-Land

New music was created to accompany the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge themed-land that is opening at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort later this year. The new score, “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Symphonic Suite,” was composed by legendary composer John Williams, and a 5-minute portion of that score is available now.

The 5-minute portion was released ahead of the May the 4th celebration at Disneyland's Tomorrowland. Today, May the 4th, is the annually celebrated “Star Wars Day.” To commemorate the day this year, Disneyland had some special celebrations ahead of the May 31 Galaxy’s Edge land opening.

“Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Symphonic Suite” includes the usual elements of the Star Wars sound and was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios. This is Williams' newest contribution after composing all eight “Episodes” in the Star Wars saga, from 1977’s A New Hope to 2017’s The Last Jedi.

The new land Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be available to enter, without reservations, starting June 24 at Disneyland Resort and Aug. 29 at Walt Disney World Resort.
