Jennifer Hudson will be opening the 69th annual NBA All-Star game this weekend with a special tribute performance to Kobe Bryant as well as his daughter Gianna and their seven friends who were killed in a helicopter crash in January.
Prior to the All-Star team introductions, Hudson will perform the tribute and Common will then welcome basketball fans to Chicago. As for the national anthem performances, Chaka Khan will sing the U.S. national anthem, while Tenille Arts will sing the Canadian national anthem.
The NBA has also announced that Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and Quavo will join Chance The Rapper for the halftime show.
The All-Star game will air live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 8pm ET on TNT.
