Following last month's release of their album Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine, Brockhampton made their The Late Show With Stephen Colbert debut on May 26 with a performance of "Don't Shoot Up the Party."
Besides performing on Colbert, Brockhampton recently released a music video for “Count on Me,” starring Lil Nas X and Dominic Fike. Kevin Abstract has also confirmed the band will release more singles this year. They are set to be dropped sometime in the summer, and Abstract revealed, "some of the guys are gonna put out solo singles too."
But while fans can get excited about more music from the boy band, the news is bittersweet. Abstract tweeted on March 31 the two Brockhampton albums released in 2021 will be their last. Roadrunner was released in April, meaning there is one final Brockhampton album yet to be dropped.
In another tweet, Abstract remarked:
"we all love each other and we wanna continue making the best music we can everybody just getting a lil older and got a lot to say outside of group projects. we’ve dedicated the last ten years of our lives to making music together this next project we’re just doing what’s rite."
In lighter news, Abstract tweeted he will release another solo album this year, the follow-up to his 2019 solo project Arizona Baby. More details have yet to be announced. Additionally, Brockhampton will be touring the U.K. in January and February, following two postponements from the pandemic.
