Pittsburgh rapper, Mac Miller, has died at age 26 from an apparent overdose on Friday, September 7, 2018 according to several sources, including TMZ. He was reportedly found dead in his San Fernando Valley home. Miller's long-time friend and fellow Pittsburgh rapper, Wiz Khalifa, confirmed the news on Twitter.
Mac Miller rose to fame in Pittsburgh in 2010 with the release of his K.I.D.S. mixtape. Miller released 5 studio albums throughout his career as well as 12 mixtapes. He released his latest album, Swimming, last month. Additionally, he has released numerous hit singles and has worked with several other artists such as Ty Dolla $ign, Anderson .Paak, and Miguel to name a few. Throughout his career he was open about his substance abuse and his struggles with addiction. Miller was supposed to start his The Swimming Tour later this year.
