Weezer Covers Blink-182 at Riot Fest
Weezer is back at it again with the cover songs, and this time it's a pop-punk favorite: Blink-182's "All The Small Things."
Blink-182 cancelled their fall tour earlier this month, including their spot at Chicago's annual Riot Fest, due to drummer Travis Barker's medical issues.
Weezer stepped up to the plate to fill in for Blink-182. Frontman Rivers Cuomo told the crowd that they learned "All the Right Things" as a tribute to Blink-182. Although Young the Giant, who performed ahead of Weezer, already played a cover of "All the Small Things," Cuomo said they're "gonna do it anyway, because you can never have too much Blink in your life. Let's see what it sounds like Weezer-style."

The band, most recently in the news for covering Toto's "Africa" and subsequently earning a number one song on Billboard's Rock Airplay Chart, played several covers during their Riot Fest set. Covers included Black Sabbath's "Paranoid," the Turtles' "Happy Together," and a-ha's "Take On Me." And of course, Weezer played Toto's "Africa."
